Abstract

Patterns). These are useful for quick reference in acute situations. I particularly like the layout, especially the introductory objectives and the conclusions to each chapter. It enables readers to quickly identify the sections of most relevance to their situation. This is the most useful textbook covering public health practice that I have read. Aspiring public health and health protection professionals and public health educators will find it a useful aid to their studies, teaching and practice. Many experienced public health professionals will enjoy refreshing their knowledge. All public health and health protection workers would benefit from having this text on their shelves.
