Abstract

The liberal democratic peace is best described as a confluence of behaviour, attitudes and structural factors that encourage a particular type of peace and peacemaking. It can be identified through its possession of five core elements: ●means or methodology;●core components (distinctive forms of liberalism and democracy);●nature of its principal actors and sponsors;●ideological perspective;●type of peace effected.
