Abstract

This paper is part of a study commissioned by the FAST directorate of the EC. Importance of integrating technological and organization innovation, to foster both the effectiveness of firms and the quality of working life. It has been argued that such integration calls for an anthropocentric R&D. In the last decade a number of projects were carried out which can be considered as crucial experiments in antrhopocentric R&D. These projects from [range] sociotechnical engineering in a laboratory context to comprehensive organizational change in a real life business context. This paper disputes that at this stage, policy strategies are needed in order to leave the margins for both technological and social research as well as the business organization. Design of such strategies.
