Abstract

The present study aimed at developing a system capable of collecting atmospheric data from physical sensors distributed throughout the city of São Paulo and to notify users in real-time, to provide people with early flood warnings. In addition to the development of this system, this study also aimed to show, via a real-life case study, how the use of web technologies, coupled with the Internet of Things, could help solve the day-to-day problems of large cities.
