Abstract

Stability parameters and wind stress coefficients under various atmospheric conditions are related to wind velocity and air/sea temperature difference. Readily applicable formulae, without iterative computations of wind stress coefficients under these conditions are presented. Two schemes of correcting stability effects on the wind stress coefficient, through data analysis and flux gradient relationship, were compared. (from paper)
