Abstract

Our decision to organize a witness seminar on the experiment in economics was certainly motivated by our firm conviction that the history of a discipline does not map to its published sources, but there were other substantial reasons to organize the seminar as well. The introduction of the experiment in economics produced, by any standards, a major change in the economist’s research practice that goes beyond methods and methodology used. Joan
