Abstract

Regression analyses and the p-values that they produce are everywhere in medi- cal statistical inference. Their omnipresence is no great surprise. At their respec- tive cores, regression analysis and healthcare research focus on the examination of relationships, e.g., “Does a new therapy for hypertension improve clinical outcomes?” Regression analysis is the statistical tool that proves a quantitative assessment of the relationship between variables.
