PENGUATAN PROFESIONALITAS GURU BIOLOGI DALAM MENYUSUN RENCANA PELAKSANAAN PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK DI BANDARLAMPUNG

Abstract

Abstrak: Penerapan pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada mata pelajaran biologi di Bandarlampung mengalami beberapa kendala. Salah satunya adalah pemberdayaan guru sebagai pengendali pembelajaran di kelas belum optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini ditujukan untuk memberikan wawasan dan bimbingan kepada para guru biologi dalam menyusun program pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan saintifik. Bentuk workshop dipilih sebagai metode kegiatan karena mempertimbangkan karakteristik kesibukan guru. Peserta yang tergabung sebanyak 37 orang yang berasal dari MGMP Biologi Kota Bandarlampung. Pengukuran keberhasilan kegiatan menggunakan model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) yang dikembangkan oleh Daniel Stufflebeam. Berdasarkan analisis hasil kegiatan ditemukan bahwa peserta (1) sangat membutuhkan materi tentang pendekatan saintifik, penilaian dan model pembelajaran; (2) sebanyak 84% peserta mengalami peningkatan peningkatan pemahaman (n-gain ≥ 1) tentang materi pelatihan; (3) sebanyak 93% peserta pelatihan terlibat aktif dan antusias dalam diskusi dan berbagi gagasan selama mengikuti pelatihan; dan (4) mampu menghasilkan produk rancangan program pembelajaran yang selaras dengan pendekatan saintifik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, maka bentuk workshop peningkatan profesionalitas guru tersebut mampu menghasilkan luaran yang bermutu. Diharapkan bentuk workshop tersebut dapat menjadi rujukan dalam meningkatkan mutu kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di masa mendatang.Abstract: The application of learning based on a scientific approach to biology subjects in Bandarlampung experienced several obstacles. One of them is the empowerment of teachers as controllers of learning in the classroom has not been optimal. This service activity is intended to provide insight and guidance to biology teachers in preparing learning programs based on a scientific approach. The form of the workshop was chosen as the activity method because it took into account the busy characteristics of the teacher. The participants who joined were 37 people who came from the Biology teacher community Bandarlampung. The measurement of activity success uses the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model developed by Daniel Stufflebeam. Based on the analysis of the results of the activity, it was found that participants 1) really needed material on scientific approaches, assessments and learning models; 2) as many as 84% of participants experienced an increase in understanding (n-gain ≥1) about the training material; 3) 93% of the training participants were actively and enthusiastically involved in discussions and sharing ideas during the training; and 4) able to produce learning program design products that are in line with the scientific approach. Based on the results of the analysis, the form of the workshop for improving the professionalism of teachers is able to produce quality outcomes. It is hoped that this form of workshop can be a reference in improving the quality of Community Service activities in the future.
