Abstract

This study is concerned with probZems of consistent behavioraZ efficiency during a night driving test on a speciaZZy equipped ve-hicZe. Driving accuracy and corticaZ arousaZ ZeveZ were objectiveZy measured by parameters which were normaZized, permitting a covaria-tions anaZysis in terms of a standardized e~erimentaZ situation. The vaZidation of an originaZ methodoZogy of behavior anaZysis aZZows us to consider a discriminant approach of the aZertness state for ergonomicaZ or psychopharmacoZogicaZ probZems. An appZication concerning the effects of carbon monoxide traces on vigiZance in re-Zation to car driving at night is described.
