Task Orientation

Abstract

A psychological orientation in which an individual is concerned primarily with completing the job, solving the problem, and working persistently and doing the best job possible. Those with task orientation tend to compare their performances with personal standards. They usually work well within a group, perceiving that contribution to the group effort will contribute to overall success of the task.
