Abstract

A compact antenna for double band applications has been proposed and designed in the present study. The simulation results show that the antenna produces 10 dB impedance bandwidths at three bands—from 1.85 to 3.19 GHz and from 5.15 to 5.33 GHz. The proposed antenna has simple configuration, i.e. by adjusting the width and height of the feed, the resonant frequencies can be adjusted to the desired frequencies. The good impedance and radiation characteristics at 2.4 and 5.2 GHz confirm the usability of the proposed antenna in WLAN applications.
