Abstract

This article addresses the question of entrepreneurial activity of older people. Using the methods of comparative analysis and benchmarking, as well as the experience of Russian and foreign companies, the authors identify common patterns and national characteristics, as well as the specifics of support and development of entrepreneurship at a mature age. Based on the conducted analysis, the authors give recommendations on the support system for older entrepreneurs, including such measures as the creation of the specific educational courses, corporate mentoring and curatorial programmes as well as the development of special lending systems. Methodology The methods of the scientific cognition that comprise the methodological basis of this research are the following: comparative and cross-disciplinary analysis, synthesis, deduction and induction, abstraction, generalization.
