Abstract

Human resource is the utmost important ingredient in producing the best in an organization. It is the talent and creativity of the working individuals, which acts a key factor in achieving the targeted success. Deeper analysis reveals that, application of a particular talent at the correct place is immensely important for the growth of an organization and the refinement of the skills of the person. This paper presents an algorithm for precise mapping of an appropriate candidate(s) for a particular job. The algorithm is designed using MCDM methods namely—AHP and TOPSIS. In order to optimize the problem, twelve generic criteria have been chosen, which enable the prioritization of the appearing candidates with respect to a profession. The algorithm discussed in this paper, adequately deals with the problem of personnel selection considering all the uncertainties associated, including both the qualitative and quantitative measures required to prioritize the candidates.
