Abstract

The ShanghaiGrid, as a Grid Computing Environment, is an information Grid to serve the public in the city, and all resources are regarded as Grid Services in the Open Grid Services Architecture (OGSA). The primary goal of the ShanghaiGrid is to build a generally shared information grid platform. Charging and accounting are an important part of the grid computing system in the ShanghaiGrid. This paper discusses an accounting services model and accounting life cycle that will be used in the ShanghaiGrid. We will analyze the charging and accounting process in detail based on this model and cycle. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2005.
