Abstract

The miniaturization and relatively lower cost of ultrasonography machine have helped advance point of care ultrasound (POCUS) into every field of medicine. Incorporating POCUS into routine nephrology practice is now possible, especially when it comes to performing procedures. The field of dialysis is no exception and herein we outline the role of POCUS with hemodialysis vascular access and peritoneal dialysis access-related procedures.
