Abstract

Optical phenomena have a great advantage in that they can be directly observed by our most used sense - eyesight. Some of them could seem like magic when performed practically, for example the effects of invisibility or perfect imaging. We show some ideas of how the principles behind these phenomena can be explained and demonstrated to the general public. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2014.
