Abstract

Geriatric patients have particular characteristics that require specific skills from occupational therapists as part of the rehabilitation team. The various rehabilitation settings have specific characteristics requiring a diverse approach for the OT assessment and intervention in order to have an efficient and professional practice. Comorbidities, polypharmacy, and fragility are all factors to be considered to obtain a comprehensive and client-centered approach for the rehabilitation of geriatric patients.
