Abstract

Bi clusters are produced by the inert gas condensation technique. The clusters velocity is studied systematically as a function of the He pressure. A large velocity slip is obsd. between He and the clusters. This velocity slip depends on the mass cluster and allows one to select in size the neutral clusters. This mass selectivity enables one to study the fragmentation of Bi clusters as a function of the ionizing energy. [on SciFinder (R)]
