Abstract

One of the government's efforts to tackle HIV / AIDS cases is by providing Antiretroviral or Anti-HIV Treatment services. This research aims to determine the results of liver function tests in this case SGOT levels and SGPT levels in HIV patients with ARV therapy ≥ 6 months. This research will be conducted for 1 month. The purpose of this research was to determine the results of examination of SGOT levels and SGPT levels in HIV patients with ARV therapy ≥ 6 months in Marthen Indey Jayapura Hospital. This type of research is descriptive with a laboratory test approach. The sample used was serum samples from HIV patients with a diagnosis of HIV who performed ARV therapy ≥ 6 months. The examination method for SGOT and SGPT levels is photometry. The results showed that from 24 samples of HIV patients on examination of SGOT levels, patients with normal levels were 70.8%, while patients with SGOT levels increased by 29.2%. Examination of SGPT levels from 24 samples of HIV patients obtained results with a normal SGPT level of 83.3%, while patients with SGPT levels increased by 16.7%.
