Abstract

Advanced medical robotics based on micro and macro mechatronics has been investigated by the author. Firstly, advantages of the medical robotics and unsolved issues for practical application are introduced. Secondly, safe "cybernetic actuator", "hyper endoscope", "remote minimal invasive surgery system with force sensation", "virtual endoscope system with force sensation for clinical training" and "active micro forceps for retina micro surgery" are reported. Finally, the prospect for medical robotics in the future are discussed
