Abstract

The paper presents a method which can be used to calculate electromagnetic fields excited in non‐uniform media by fields of either natural origin or controlled sources. the model under consideration consists of several inhomogeneous thin sheets embedded in an otherwise laterally uniform section. Maxwell's equations are reduced to a system of integral equations with a compressive kernel, which can always be effectively solved using the iterative‐dissipative method. Some details of a numerical realization are given together with an example of modelling. Copyright © 1993, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
