Abstract

The physician patient relationship is established in the first consultation with the patient. The patient has to find out about the procedure to be followed and any of its problems as well as decide if the surgeon is competent and friendly. The medical record should be thorough and complete. © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
