Abstract

To correct postoperative rhinoplasty deformities, it is important to identify the deformity using a systemic approach. The author discusses surgical technique-related problems of revision surgery; types of problems requiring secondary surgery and methods of treatment; dorsal augmentation for Asian nose; implant materials including silicone, Medpor, and Gore-Tex; dorsal augmentation; the length of the nose, nasion, and supratip; trimming the implant; and determining the elevation of each individual area. Also described were techniques of revision rhinoplasty using Gore-Tex and augmentation techniques using costal cartilage.
