Abstract

In the era of precision surgery, digital technologies are allowing the surgeon to improve the treatments to the patient. Several new tool are providing a better understanding of the pathology, empowering the operator and providing novel research approaches. With such a background, it is critical today to uniform the terminology, to allow standardized bases for future studies and comparisons. Within this standardization in taxonomy, representation technologies like 3D rendering and printing, extended reality and radiomics need to be categorized and well defined, with concepts that need to be easily understood and widespread.
