Starting a Safety Management System Culture in Small Flight School Organizations

Abstract

The article presents a case study on the implementation of a Safety Management System (SMSM) in a small flight school organization. It highlights its concepts, policies and practices representing the prospective management of safety in the aviation industry. An overview of its enforcement through collaboration and employee involvement is also provided.
