Abstract

The paper is aimed at solving a problem of providing availability in wireless mesh networks for crisis management. It offers the concept of a system providing the availability by scanning the network and using drones to deliver emergency wireless communication modules to restore the network connectivity. The authors also offer a model of a crisis management network to assess availability of network nodes. A software prototype implementing a fragment of the crisis management network and a mechanism for ensuring its availability has been developed. The prototype is used to analyze security of the network and to perform experiments.
