Abstract

Abstract: Results are presented from measuring the microwave dielectric properties of aqueous solutions of 2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane at seven frequencies in the range of 5–25 GHz at temperatures of 288, 298, 308 K. Static dielectric constants, activation parameters and relaxation times are calculated for the process of dielectric relaxation. The effect nonpolar groups of molecules have on water are considered.
