Abstract

The link between heart and mind has represented for centuries an intriguing topic for researchers; it is interesting and at the same time difficult to explore [1]. A number of pathophysiological, epidemiological and clinical studies have emphasized the complex interactions that exist between neural influences and cardiovascular function, both physiologically and in the context of neural or cardiovascular diseases [1]. © 2006 Springer-Verlag Milan.
