Abstract

Social network analysis is an important tool for constructing, analyzing and understanding networks within an organization and using this information to improve communication and productivity of the organization. Some communication issues, hierarchical problems within the sales department and communication gap between the employers and customers prevented smooth functioning in one of the textile showrooms in Tamil Nadu, India. To address these issues the social network analysis was carried out. The outcome of this analysis, suggestions, recommendations, implementation of the recommendations and its positive impact on the overall functioning of the showroom are reported in this paper.
