Abstract

Smartphone interactive operation performance perception refers to the user experience when they operate the smartphone. Studying the specific perception needs of users on the interactive operation performance can provide a theoretical user-centered guidance for the mobile R&D agency. This paper discusses perceivable indicators of smartphone interactive operation performance and the typical Chinese apps and the relationship between them, which provides a basis for the study for the user’s perceivable difference of smartphone interactive operation performance in different apps. First, we use the method of literature research to obtain the overall perceivable indicators of smartphone interactive operation performance: Coherence, Responsiveness, and Smoothness. Furthermore, the set of perceivable indicators is achieved by combining operation tasks and gestures. Second, sensitive users are screened by questionnaire. In order to draw the relationship between the perceivable indicators and the typical apps, we organized sensitive users into the focus group. The study found that the typical apps of Coherence are: Album, Meitu, Baidu Map; the typical apps of Responsiveness are: Weibo, Wechat, Camera; the typical apps of Smoothness are: Weibo, Zhihu, Taobao. This relationship provides typical apps for the following research on the modeling for each indicator and the overall model of three overall indicators.
