This paper aims to show how a reflection upon an ethics grounded on nature is still relevant nowadays. To this purpose, it will analyse some of the main theories on ecological ethics, i.e., the deep ecology defended by Arne Naess, the principle of responsibility and the ethics of the future proposed by Hans Jonas, and the ecological risk theorized by Ulrich Beck. It will adopt a deductive reasoning, typically theoretical, analytical and descriptive, as a basis to proceed to a review of the literature on ecological ethics.
