Abstract

In this chapter, the role of social context is highlighted based on the field studies of the authors. The authors review some of the findings of their previous studies with the aim of showing the relevance of the social context in mental health. The concept and correlation between vulnerability and mental health is discussed. The role of social mindset, social representations, and collective imagery is defined and integrated in an interesting and organic point of view.
