Abstract

(from the chapter) Important to the field of understanding the impact of stressful life experiences on health is the emerging literature that has focused on growth through trauma. A relatively new concept in the trauma field is "trauma growth." The focus of this chapter is on the processing of trauma after a stressful life event and what has come to be known as "trauma growth."
