Abstract

Kata Kunci: DASH; Status gizi; lansia; Hipertensi AbstractDietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension Diet (DASH Diet) is a healthy diet that is intended to help treat or prevent hypertension (high blood pressure) (5). With the DASH diet, you will reduce the intake of sodium (salt) in food and increase the variety of foods that contain nutrients that are beneficial for lowering blood pressure, such as potassium, calcium and magnesium. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a one group time series model approach, which does not use a comparison group. In quasi-experimental research, research subjects are not taken randomly and can be done by measuring a variable in one research group at different times to prove a causal relationship. The sample required in this study was calculated using the Slovin formula in getting the results of 59 respondents. The results showed that the nutritional status of the elderly with hypertension before (pre) Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) therapy, the average (mean) of the nutritional status of the elderly with hypertension was 19.7. The nutritional status of the elderly with hypertension after (post) Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) therapy was obtained a mean of 21.45. There is an effect of Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) therapy on the nutritional status of the elderly (elderly) with hypertension with a p value of 0.029 or less than 0.5 so that Ho is rejected. This study is expected to provide information and validation as well as an evidence base regarding the effect of Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) therapy on the nutritional status of the elderly (elderly) with hypertension. Keywords: DASH; Nutritional Status; Elderly; Hypertension
