Abstract

An EEG database system was built based on the SQL Server 2003, configured with an IIS (Internet Information Service) server in order to facilitate the network query. Take the clinical EEG data for example, the database not only stores patient information, but also structuralizes the EEG data and its annotation and standardized the form of the database tables. Its way of storing is much different from that of the commonly used text files and gives full play to the great advantage of a relational database and brings maximum convenience and flexibility for storage, retrieval and analysis of data and reduces errors. At the same time, related database software which integrates a variety of algorithms that can analyze data directly was developed to display EEG. This paper introduces the database design, software development and lists a number of database applications. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media.
