Abstract

All available diagnostic measures are to be used to define the pathology of recurrent sinus disease to the best possible extent. Optimised conservative treatment comes before, parallel to and after revision sinus surgery. Revision surgery should be embedded in a concept of conservative and surgical treatment. The strategy of revision sinus surgery depends on the individual pathology. © 2009 Springer Berlin Heidelberg.
