Abstract

The announcement of this AFIP atlas is, as always, a pleasant task: that it is possible to obtain for this price a so authoritative book on such a difficult pathological subject with 295 excellent mainly histologic illustrations is not a commun occurrence. Naturally, the authors have been concerned primarily with the pathologic aspects of their subject, but histogenesis, natural history and prognosis are discussed to some extent as well. It is only fair that it be known that F. Mostofi is responsible for the sections on the Testis and the Prostate, while E. Price dealt with the sections on the External Genitalia (penis and scrotum) and the Adnexae. Throughout the book the authors attempted to use terminology and definitions which correspond to a considerable extent to the histopathologic classification of tumors of the urogenital systems proposed by the WHO.
