This article presents an analysis of the adoption the Citizen Card in Portugal based on a survey, in which 601 citizens participated. The survey focused on the knowledge of the card and of its features, as well as in the digital signature capabilities. First the survey population was informed about the concept of the Citizen Card, its applicability, and the technological mechanisms associated with their use.
