Abstract

Due to the large-scale Grid environments and their rapid expansion, both in Grid and network resources, it is getting imperative to provide Grid management mechanisms that can enable Grid Computing to adapt to various application requirements in a flexible and automated way. This paper proposes an Active Grid architecture and middleware for rapid and autonomic GRID service creation, deployment, activation and management. Proposed solutions are based on active networks (Tamanoir Execution Environment) which support dynamic Grid services deployment for the management of Grid architectures. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2003.
