Abstract

We review the significant advances in the field of dermatology in 2007. Several reports confirm the key role for the epidermal protein fillagrin in atopic dermatits. Biologicals are now evaluated in atopic dermatits and additional off-label use. The recent introduction of the quadrivalent human papilloma vaccine should result in a significant decrease of condyloma in addition to preventing a large number of cervical cancers. Finally some unwarranted side-effects related to treatment of skin diseases are reported.
