Abstract

In a Pubmed search using the terms incisional hernia limited to clinical trials, 122 hits were found. There were two randomized trials. The best-known is the Luijendijk study with after long-term follow-up a significantly lower recurrence rate after mesh sublay repair when compared to suture repair ( Table 20.1) [1]. © 2007 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
