Abstract

The main objective of the present article is to analyse one of the construction forms of nontraditional socio-political knowledge, which took place in Chile during the dictatorship period. In specific terms, it aims to catalogue a series of modern reflections and practises, associated with the opposition to the Chilean dictatorship, whose purpose is to re-articulate the relationship between intellectuals and civil society, destroyed in the coup d'état and whose production can be seen in the complex process of political renovation within the national left. In this sense, taking an important example, we investigate about The Workshops of Situation Analysis conducted by the NGO ECO. This Workshops, are as much an expression of new practises of sociability as of the intellectual networks of opposition in Chile in the 1980s, in which distinct social and intellectual actors came together in order to develop thought on the transitional experience and debate the political landscape. It therefore interests us to investigate the construction of networks, of spaces and of radio transmissions based on diffusion and social action, conducted by the "last intellectuals", which sought to combine politics with social knowledge, at the height of the collapse of real socialism and the discursive blow of technocracy.
