Abstract

An affordable way of designing and developing an universal node board that can be used with existing Internet gateways or smart home automation frameworks is presented in this paper. Its design allows connecting almost any available sensor, actuator, or control element. The use of the proposed architecture also decreases the time to deploy a system, as well as the time needed to test and analyze various ideas and scenarios. Future improvements and testing are also discussed.
