Abstract

The influence of particle size on the liberation of a specific ore and on the general formulation of a separation process is examined. The liberation process is described using mathematical models and flotation kinetics reviewed. Simulation supported by modelled liberation phenomena and a condensation of kinetic parameters is shown to be feasible. Some numerical experiments of an elementary flotation kinetic model are also performed to enhance the influence of liberation parameters on flowsheet performance. (P.M.T.)
