Abstract

Planning for Sustainable Development and Risk Management from Natural Disasters requires a wide range of quality and reliable information. Based on such data it is possible to make timely and valid decisions. One of the most important forms of information is a variety of cartographic maps. Making such maps until recently was quite complex. Today, thanks to modern technology, it is relatively easy and quick to create the necessary thematic maps. This paper presents a method for creating/using a viewer and an example of creating a thematic map for managing flood risks in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
