During the visit of the British Phycological Society to Dunbar from 23 to 30 August 1972, algae were collected from shores in East Lothian, Berwickshire and the northern tip of Northumberland. These areas were widely collected in the past, most notably by Batters (1890) and Traill (1890), but in recent years only a few limited collections have been made (Jones, 1960; Johnston, 1972; Whittick, 1969). © 1976 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
