The author details the history of the University of Minnesota Press (UMP) from its founding in 1925 to the present. The UMP is a noted publisher of scholarly series and monographs while remaining true to its roots as a publisher of materials of interest to Minnesota and the upper Midwest. UMP is unique among university presses in that it also supports a test division and publication program.
