Abstract

The article focuses on collection and documentation of medico-legal evidence in Kenya for addressing the negative outcomes of sexual violence (SV). Topics discussed include the gaps in how medico-legal evidence is collected and recorded by health care providers; training of health providers, police officers and prosecutors in Kenya for the intervention; and introduction of a locally-assembled rape kit into the health facility.
