Abstract

This paper aims to analyse the impact of Cryptocurrency usage on users’ perceived benefits and behaviour. The Technology Acceptance Model has been used as foundation for this research. In this study, three main factors were examined, namely perceived ease of use, perceived benefits, and usage behaviour. To measure the impact of these factors, a quantitative methodology using surveys is adopted. Twenty-Five (n = 25) specialized individuals in the area of cryptocurrency participated in the electronic survey. The results indicate a positive relationship between perceived ease of use and usage behaviour. Surprisingly, no significant relationship between the perceived benefit in cryptocurrency and usage behaviour was found. In addition, there is no significant relationship between the Perceived Benefit in cryptocurrency and Usage Behaviour. These results indicate the need for further investigation of the factors that influence the usage of cryptocurrency.
