Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the water quality of wastewater from kenaf retting process with and without the use of Bacillus cereus. The retting process duration was 1 week. The reading on temperature, pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen (DO), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), suspended solid (SS) and ammonical nitrogen (NH3–N) was taken daily during the retting period. The end result of the wastewater quality was then compared.
